GIIS Interact Club "Sowing Care for Guest Workers" Virtual Fundraiser
On 7th May 2020, ten interactors from the Global Indian International School (GIIS) Interact Club organised a virtual fundraiser to support the Hope Initiative Alliance, (HIA) “Sowing Care for Guest Workers” Initiative (provides essential meals and hygiene products to migrant workers affected by COVID-19). They collaborated with their school band to perform the latest songs to raise donations while lifting the spirits of the community. Rtn Uttam Kripalani, Rtn Ronald Wong, Chair of the Youth Service Committee and the President of the Rotary Club of Singapore, Rtn Deepak Nagrani, supported the interactors in their project by connecting them to the HIA and providing guidance. In the end, their 10 hours of work on the project yielded approximately $5,000 for the initiative.The link to the charity performance can be found here and donations can be made here.
