The Club made history again on 12th April by hosting its first fellowship happy hour online.
To keep our members continually engaged in Rotary, our rock star Director of Rotary Spirit Rajkumar organized the meeting that was surreally filled with lots of fun and ideas of how to spend time at home productively. The evening started with two toasts: first, to the professionals and essential staff on the Frontline; and second to everyone helping them and the world by staying at home.
Special thanks to Rtn Suresh for sharing his secret recipe on how to make the best Negroni cocktail and everyone who joined in for the much needed bonding time. Can't wait for the next one. Cheers!

The Rotary Club of Singapore made history today as we not only looked but heard beyond ourselves!
To commemorate World Hearing Day, more than 70 Rotarians and spouses (including online live on Zoom) experienced firsthand how it felt to be in an environment where one cannot hear clearly. Our Community Service Committee, in collaboration with the Canossian School, organised the unprecedented and unique ‘Dine in Silence’ event.
During our weekly Club meeting, we could talk all we wanted (nobody did) but we could hardly hear (or be heard) because we were all wearing earplugs and mufflers with white noise streamed in the background! Audiologists Mr Aaron Quek and Ms Tang Ying Leng shared with us the struggles and challenges faced by a hearing-impaired person.
Tonight was undoubtedly one of the most meaningful Rotary meetings ever!

It was also heartwarming to hear from President Lani about how her Club is actively helping the situation in the Philippines. PP Dr Shahul also shared his ideas on a possible joint project. Indeed, #RotaryConnectstheWorld.
